Maddie Brodie

Performing Arts, Assistant Arts Coordinator

Kia ora koutou! My name is Maddie and I’m thrilled to be joining the Specialist team as the Performing Arts teacher at ANI. I firmly believe in the power of the performing arts to serve as a pathway of growth, self-discovery and all-round development and am excited to create a safe place for students to explore and express themselves both in the classroom and extra-curricular activities!

I grew up performing with my mum’s dance studio, the National Youth Theatre, New Zealand Opera, and even spent some time in my intermediate school rock band! I completed a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Music Theatre at NASDA in Christchurch in 2018 before heading off to work for the famous mouse as a part of the Entertainment team with Disney Cruise Line before a certain worldwide pandemic sent me back home to New Zealand. Upon my return, I achieved my long-term goal of gaining my Graduate Diploma in Teaching at AUT here in Auckland.

I’m looking forward to an exciting year and can’t wait to create music and drama and have a boogie with you all!
