Tēnā koutou katoa ko Sophie toku ingoa. This is my first year working in education and I am so blessed to have the opportunity to work with my talented peers on the ANI team. Currently, I am in my final year of study, doing a Bachelor of Fine Arts/Bachelor of Arts Conjoint majoring in English and Politics. I was born in the great metropolis of Shanghai but my safe spaces are the North Shore and the Waitākere Ranges, where my parents live. It comes as no surprise that I love being immersed in nature. You can often find me sitting on a beach or in a forest photosynthesising or reading and daydreaming. I used to work in hospitality so I’m the biggest coffee nerd you could meet and I’m always keen for a cheeky brunch with friends. Otherwise, you can find me roller skating, hanging out with my dog, or being immersed in any of my ongoing creative ventures. I’m so excited to be part of the wider support network for students at ANI and to be part of their journey developing into fantastic young adults.”
