Kia ora koutou. My name is Siva Sritharan and I am a Business Transformation Lead at Southern Cross Health Society, a not for profit Health Insurer with a goal of helping New Zealanders live their healthiest lives. I have a background in public health and financial services and I consider myself very lucky to be able to work with an incredible team who are focussed on making health and wellness services available and easily accessible to all our members.
I have one daughter who is a year 8 student at ANI and this is my second year of involvement with the PTA. It has been an amazing opportunity to get some insight into how the school system runs and to meet some of the other wonderful parents at ANI. Previously I have been involved in the PTA at Maungawhau School, where my daughter was a student for 5 years. I have also been involved at a committee level in many sports clubs particularly Tennis and Badminton.
I have lived on and off in Mt Eden for over 15 years – first as a teenager and later moving back when my daughter was 4 years old. Having loved the warmth of the local community, many walks on our maunga and the vibe of our little village, I am now passionate about contributing back to our community especially preserving and enriching the places where our tamariki spend their time learning and playing.
