Lei Shi

Kia Ora. To all parents and colleagues, please call me Shay; to students, Mr Shi. I am very excited to continue my journey at ANI from 2025 and to be part of your child’s next learning journey this year. Prior to joining ANI, I taught at a neighbouring primary school for eight years and a West Auckland intermediate school for two and a half years. My wife and I live in Mt Albert with our three children – one high schooler, one starting intermediate school and the youngest one will be a new entrant later this year. In my very limited spare time, I find pleasure in playing table tennis, playing the guitar, reading a book, or going hiking with my family. Professionally, I believe every child has talents and potential, and my job is to assist them to achieve the best they can and to maximise the fun in learning along the way.
