Kia ora! My name is Jue, and I am currently a counsellor in training, completing my placement in ANI while studying a PGDip in Counselling at UOA. I previously worked as a teacher for over ten years, mainly with adolescents, which has shaped my understanding of young people and my commitment to their well-being.
My experiences growing up in China and studying across Hong Kong, Scotland, Malta, Estonia, and the United States have broadened my perspective and deepened my sensitivity to each student’s unique background and identity.
I have a genuine interest in supporting others, with a particular focus on emotional wellbeing. I believe each person has their own inner strengths, and I value creating a calm, respectful space where students feel safe to explore and express themselves.
If you see me around, feel free to say hi. If you speak Mandarin, you’re very welcome to talk with me in Mandarin, and I can also understand some Cantonese.
Outside of counselling, I enjoy reading, watching films, travelling, and spending time in nature.
