Kia Ora! I am Whāea Mathilde, just like our Year 7 this year, I am new to ANI. I am French, born in a multicultural Mediterranean family and I have been teaching in New Zealand for the last 3 years. Before that, I worked in diverse industries and studied various subjects in France, which helps me to design transdisciplinary lessons today. My journey as a kaiako started with teaching languages and I graduated 2 years ago from The University of Auckland to become a general teacher.
I love learning and making learning accessible and engaging. I am passionate about music, dancing, travelling, social sciences and health. I wish to help students reach their highest potential and become independent, confident, and resilient problem-solvers who will flourish as ethical global citizens. Building strong relationships with my colleagues, my students and their whānau is the favourite part of my job and I can’t wait to meet you all soon!
