Mālō e lelei,

My name is Kiah, but the kids call me Whaea Kiah, and I bring nine years of teaching experience to ANI, having taught across Auckland throughout my career. My dad is from Scotland, and I love the connection that gives me to another part of the world.

I have a real passion for science and spent four years as a specialist science teacher, creating hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity and encourage students to ask questions. Outside the classroom, I’m a huge Warriors supporter (up the Wahs!) and spend my spare time managing a girls’ rugby league team, reading a good book, or getting creative with craft projects.

As a teacher, I believe strong relationships are the foundation of great learning. I value collaboration, open-mindedness, and creativity, and strive to create a classroom where every learner feels supported, challenged, and inspired to do their best.
