I grew up in the farming community of Pukekohe and attended secondary school both there and in Dargaville.
I am married to Verna and together we have two daughters, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and a dachshund called Fritz.
Verna and I share a passion for travel and running although running has largely become walking in recent years while I indulge in skiing, fishing, reading and watching sport whenever I can.
My teaching career included many years as Deputy Principal at various primary and intermediate schools followed by time spent in the business sector.
I regard teaching at ANI as being at the cutting edge of education and a privilege, particularly as the investigative learning practised here coincides with beliefs I have held over most of my career.
My role at ANI is primarily to release teachers for planning and professional development purposes.
