Cheri is an experienced teacher, having taught year 4 to year 8 students in New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates. She is currently completing her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. She enjoys guiding and supporting students to challenge themselves in all aspects of their lives, to be critical in their thinking and take risks in their learning. She strives to develop great communicators who are willing to question the world around them and how they can make a difference. She believes that strong, positive and caring relationships are the essence of a safe learning environment and aims to foster this with her students and their whanau.
Outside of school, she enjoys competing in triathlons, water sports and generally any activities that involve the outdoors. She also enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends including her daughter who is aspiring to become a teacher.
