Kia Ora ANI Whanau
I am a New Zealand trained teacher from Auckland, and have nearly two decades of experience across a wide range of educational roles. At the University of Auckland, I extended my knowledge and teaching skills in the areas of Inclusive Education (Gifted and Talented students), English as a Second Language (ESL), and in the arts and began my teaching career working with these types of students.
Inspired by my love of travelling and passion for developing global and cultural diversity, I moved to Singapore. Over the past 16 years I have gained experience in a variety of roles in an international school system: Classroom Teacher, Team Leader, Junior Years Coordinator and Primary Language and Mathematics Coordinator, and ESL/Pastoral Specialist. Being a coach for mindfulness and well-being, building of school-wide team spirit, leading and supporting school musicals, as well as coaching a range of sports teams, are all areas I thrive to be a part of.
Returning back to ANI, I am very excited to work with and build relationships with colleagues, parents and students alike. I aim to empower young minds and make learning a purposeful and meaningful experience; to be an excellent educator, an inspiring leader and a kindred spirit who fosters originality of thought.
In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors, exploring my passion for the arts, being a part of a range of sports and sporting events and spending quality time with friends, family and my fur baby Patch.
