My name is Brianna and I am beginning my second year as a Teacher Aide at Auckland Normal Intermediate. I absolutely love being a teacher aide and working alongside students supporting their learning. I understand the challenges that some students face when accessing the curriculum, and enjoy assisting the students and their teachers. Previously I have also worked at Remuera Primary as a Teacher Aide.
While I am energised by my teacher aide role, I am currently taking a COVID enforced break from my full time role as a professional Dancer for the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. Prior to being contracted to the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, I completed a Diploma in dance at Dance Force Academy in Australia.
My long term goal is to gain a Bachelor of Health Science and work as an Occupational Therapist in schools. I believe the training I have and continue to receive through my teacher aide role will assist me greatly in succeeding as an Occupational Therapist.
