Clara is an enthusiastic teacher who has taught at Auckland Normal Intermediate for four years. With a passion for teaching and learning, she believes students learn best when learning experiences are authentic and meaningful to each individual student. As an inquirer herself, Clara enjoys learning alongside her students and guiding them develop their own passion for learning.
Excited to be working with Year 8 students again, Clara loves how the students at this age are eager to learn, keen to share their ideas and not afraid to think outside the box. Every year she is amazed at how the students grow independence and responsibility for themselves as they prepare for secondary school. Throughout the years, Clara has held different leadership positions in the school including her recent appointment as an Across-School leader for our local Community of Learning (CoL).
Out of school you will find Clara at the gym most mornings, relaxing with a cup of tea most evenings and trying new brunch spots most weekends. She also loves reading, going for bush walks and spending time with her family and friends.
