Ashley Triana

Ashley Triana

Room 14

Ashley is a warm, caring and enthusiastic teacher who was born and raised in Auckland. This is her first year teaching at ANI however she has been teaching in Auckland for 6 years working with students in years 5-8. Ashley is passionate about teaching and learning in all areas of the curriculum but, without a doubt, would say that all things literacy are her absolute favourite. She is an avid reader, writer and learner of languages. Over the last few years Ashley has taken a particular interest in lifting achievement in writing and has presented at the National Literacy Conference about what makes an effective teacher of writing.  She loves fostering a love for reading and writing in her students.

Outside of the classroom Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, creating messes in the kitchen and taking on far too complicated DIY projects around the house (normally getting about half way through before her husband has to come and save her). She can normally be found with her nose stuck in a book and a smile on her face.
