Kia ora Y8 whānau

We’re almost saying goodbye to our Y8 cohort and they have a busy end of term. This is a summary of the end of year events.

Year 8 Exhibition – Tuesday 28th November 12pm – 5pm

Year 8 Students have been working away on their How We Express Ourselves Exhibition which has a cultural focus. Students have picked a cultural and form of expression that is significant to them and will share this on Exhibition Day.

This will take place in Year 8 Classrooms and some spaces around the school.

Students will have early lunch before this and an afternoon tea break from 3 – 3:30pm.

Year 8 Students will be sharing with Year 7 students from 12pm – 1:30pm and the community are invited to come in from 1:30pm – 5:00pm.

The expectation is that students are in school for the entirety of the Exhibition and are collected by 5:15pm by an adult.

High School Practice Day – Tuesday 12th December

We’re prepping our kids for the world of High School! Part of this is organisation of equipment, time and themselves! Students will be sorted into random groups and go to random classes to take part in a surprise lesson, moving around the school each period

Timetables including subjects and classrooms will be shared the day before for students to prepare themselves for the day.

Graduation – Tuesday 12th December – 5pm – 8pm

Get those tissues ready!

Please see the separate invitation attached.

Amazing Race – Wednesday 13th December

Exactly like the TV show except the big cash prize! Students will be in groups, chosen by them and then running around the school completing challenges for points and points mean prizes!

Students will need a big lunch and water bottle as they will be running around.

If you have any questions, please contact your child’s classroom teacher.
