Kia Ora, Hola, Bonjour, Talofa Lava, and Konichiwa. My name is Sarah Green and I’m a student in Rm 14, a Strategic Leader and one of the Head Students of 2022. I am absolutely thrilled to be working alongside the other Strategic Leaders. This year, I would love to spread kindness, inspire others, impact people's enthusiasm and confidence, so I can leave ANI knowing I made a difference. My family and I are from Auckland, New Zealand but we love to travel. One of my favorite places I've been to is Hawaii. Outside of school you can find me reading, hanging out with my friends and family, playing water polo or baking! My vision for this year is to use teamwork, be open minded and to be the best leader, student and friend I can. I strive on my communication skills and connections between others. I am beyond excited to see what the future holds and I can’t wait to see what opportunities and experiences are yet to come!

Kia ora, My name is Swarit and I am a Head Student and a member of the Strategic Leadership group for 2022. I was born in India and moved to New Zealand at a very young age. Outside of school I love to play cricket, watch movies and read books. At school you can usually find me at the handball courts or cricket nets. I love talking to people and hearing stories and experiences they have had. My goal for this year is to be an easy and approachable person who can help and aid you through your time at ANI. I want to push you out of your comfort zone and bring out the hidden talents you may have. My vision for the strategic leaders this year is to be able to recognize students weaknesses and strengths. Kia ora, Kamusta, Hola and Bonjour. My name is Miguel Ragat and I’m the Deputy Head student and a member of the Strategic Leadership team. I was born in the Philippines and moved to New Zealand 6 years ago with my Mum, Dad and younger brother. When I’m not in school, you can often find me hanging out with friends and family, doing art and playing the ukulele and guitar. My vision this year is to spread positivity and confidence within the community of ANI. My personal goal this year is to have fun, push myself out of my comfort zone and to interact with new people, especially with year 7’s. I’m very pumped to be working alongside the Strategic Leaders and I can’t wait to see the awesome things we accomplish this year! Hallå! My name’s Maya Mahony, and I’m a Strategic Leader, Deputy Head student and student from Room 3. When I’m not in school, I enjoy dancing, reading, playing netball, and hanging out with my family and friends. I was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, but my mum was born in Sweden, meaning I am half-Swedish. I spend some of my time practicing and learning Swedish, and about the culture over there! This year, I'm excited to participate in school activities and events, push myself out of my comfort zone, work together with others and overall have a great year! My vision for this year is to be the best person I can be and to work on how I can make that happen. My strategic leader goal for this year is to build a great relationship with the other Strategic Leaders, so we can become an amazing team. One of my favourite things about school is that I can learn and grow with my classmates. I’m so excited for the year ahead, and can’t wait for all of the exciting things that are going to be happening!

Kia ora, ko Emily Rope toku ingoa. This year I am proud to be a house leader of Te Hau, strategic leader, and classroom member of room 15. I am stoked to be working amongst the strategic leaders for 2022. We have a great hard working, fun and kind strategic group this year. As house leader this year I am hoping to get the year 7’s and year 8’s to be pumped up so that they truly enjoy the house system and connect to their house and the people around them. One of my true passions in and out of school is sport whether it is handball at lunchtime or basketball with the class I am in! My main sports are netball, water polo and hockey and the ANI teams have helped me throughout the years to improve and develop my teamwork. This teamwork I want to apply to our strategic leadership group this year. I am a proud New Zealander/kiwi. My dad is from Whangarei and my mum is from Napier. Kia ora, வணக்கம் (Vanakkam) and hello. I'm Shrika. I'm proud to be a Strategic Leader and Wai House Leader for 2022. My goals this year are to make sure everyone pushes their limits and tries something new, to have awesome house competitions and events and that everyone is pumped up for 2022. My hobbies are reading, coding, playing the violin and hiking. I also love playing sports; my main sports are hockey, cricket and badminton. I love exploring our big backyard and seeing places that have shaped history. Last summer, I hiked the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. I also love gardening, learning about species of plants, and what plants you can forage. Currently, I'm learning to graft fruit trees. Another big part of my life is Girl Guides. At Guides, I learn life skills. We go camping, try new things and learn to be great leaders. I'm a people person and love talking to, helping and connecting with people. Kia Ora! My name is Hareem Hashmi and I am one of the strategic leaders and the Whenua House Leader. I am really excited and pumped up to be in this position and will try to do it to the best of my abilities. I want to make sure everyone is showing initiative, having fun and giving it all they have. I was born in Pakistan but raised in New Zealand. I love writing, badminton, painting and cooking. I am in a family of four which includes my parents, my younger brother and me. My dream is to become a cardiologist or a specialist doctor. My goal for this year is to develop my listening skills, interact with more people, lead with sympathy and be ready for every challenge. Hi Everyone, My name is Taylor Patterson. I am a student in room 6, The Ahi house leader and one of the strategic leaders for 2022 . I was born in New Zealand and so was my Mum and siblings but my Dad is originally from Northern Ireland. If I am not in school you will find me playing Water polo, reading and swimming. My family and I love traveling and have been to around 15 countries and I hope to travel to many more!! My vision this year is to inspire more students to go for a role and continue to bring spirit to the school. I love being around people and ANI has allowed me to do just that, I would love to bring people together and give everyone the joy of being in a house and around people just like them, next time you see me come talk because I would love to chat or even email me Can’t wait to see you then!

Hi! My name is Isla Kendall and I am the Arts Leader in the strategic team this year! I love aerial silks, reading and cats! In my family I have a little sister named Blythe, a cat named Benji and my parents. I was born in New Zealand but lived in China for 3 years. I have been to over 30 countries so far! My strategic leadership goal/vision for this year is to broaden the ani students' knowledge of the world. My goal/vision for being an arts leader is to increase enjoyment and understanding in the arts sector. I want to be forgien correspondent or an investigative journalist because I love to travel and write. Growing up I played every sport possible, I absolutely love playing in a team with other people and all working together. I also love surfing and being in the water! As part of the Strategic Leadership team, my vision this year is to make sure everyone has a go at the sport they are passionate about or are keen to try, and to encourage every student at ANI to step out of their comfort zone and try something new. I am so excited to be working with everyone this year and I can’t wait to see what the year holds! Hi! My name is Abby Daley and I am one of the 3 sports captains in the strategic team this year. I only moved to New Zealand last year from Australia and am so honored to be given a place in ANI’s Strategic Team for 2022. I love dancing, singing, acting and most sports. A fun fact about me is I have danced since I was 2 years old. This year my goals are to make sure everyone in the school knows they can have a go whether it's with sports or just everyday life. I want to build everyone’s confidence and self esteem and leave ANI knowing I made a difference. I am so excited to be working with you all this year and see what we can accomplish together. Kia ora, My name is Aidan Hennessy and I am excited to be part of the Strategic Leadership Team and a Sports Captain at ANI for 2022. One of my passions is sport of course! I enjoy playing rugby, cricket, touch rugby, basketball, netball as well as swimming. As a Sports Captain, one of my goals is to encourage more students to participate in sporting activities at school, including more fun teacher/student challenges, as well as inter school and class competitions. It is also important to me, as part of the student leadership team, to encourage and inspire you all to strive to be your best, show kindness and support to others.
