Scrapbooking is a method of preserving, presenting, and arranging personal and family history in the form of a book, box, or card.
Typical memorabilia include photographs, printed media, and artwork.
Scrapbook albums are often decorated and frequently contain extensive journaling or written descriptions
This class will explain scrapbooking – and view its modern incarnation (Facebook, Instagram, VSCO).
Throughout the term, students will learn about and produce a scrapbook – based upon important school calendar events; throughout the term students will also be advised to bring photographs and will be prompted to write meaningful statements, stories and accounts. The class will also work to create novel learning experiences as a group that will also serve as material used in the scrapbook – this will include but not limited to artwork; adventure-based learning activities, and music lyrics.
