The school is delighted to celebrate their 75th year anniversary in 2020. This will be a time to learn more about and celebrate the people, buildings and founders, including the significant role the school has played in the local community, teacher training institutions and wider Auckland area.
We are looking forward to commemorating this event in a number of ways that will create fond memories for present and former students.
To do this we need facilities that can accommodate our special guests and visitors. With the current situation of two major building projects happening in 2020, we have decided to postpone the festivities until the following year or early 2022 when we can celebrate in style, housed in our brand new learning spaces and hall.
For those of you who are not aware why there are major building works happening, on 23 January 2019 there was a large fire at the school that destroyed our historic hall and eight specialist classrooms. While this was devastating at the time, it has latterly presented us with some exciting new opportunities to build facilities that are state of the art in style, functionality and future focused learning spaces.
We hope to name the new buildings the Jubilee Hall and classroom block.
