Mark is an experienced teacher. His experience covers New Zealand, British and International Baccalaureate education. He started at Auckland Normal Intermediate last year after time in England, Moscow, Cairo and Dubai. His passion is for inquiry learning. When not teaching he can be found riding his mountain bike.

Jason Shin is his first year at ANI and loves the positive, supportive and innovative environment in the school. He is an enthusiastic and collaborative teacher who is passionate about working with intermediate students who are experiencing the exciting transition to a new school. He enjoys swimming, playing football and travelling.

Danni is a second year teacher here at ANI. She is enthusiastic and energetic in her class and believes in building strong relationships with her students. Drew is an engaging and passionate music director that believes in giving students unequalled real life musical experiences and knowledge. He has taught worldwide for over a decade, plays multiple instruments and brings both contemporary and classic perspectives to growing students’ musical repertoires. Outside of class Drew keeps his sanity by studying martial arts and dance.

Niamh O’Reilly is a passionate educator from Ireland entering into her first full year at ANI. Facilitating opportunity for creativity, originality, skill development and fun are things that Niamh is extremely excited about heading into 2018. Outside of school Niamh loves to paint, exercise (due to her enjoyment of NZ food) and travel wherever she can afford.


Jasmine is a very experienced teacher at secondary level, primary level as well as teaching languages. She is passionate about teaching French and watching her students succeed. Her interests are swimming, travelling and spending time with friends. Jasmine is committed to making the French language and culture an exciting component of the students’ learning this year.


Danielle is starting her second year as the science teacher at ANI and her sixth year of teaching.
