Letter to parents – NZ on Alert Level 3

Hi all,

This school app notice is to let you know that as Auckland will be in Alert level 3 from midnight tonight (Sunday 14 February) Auckland Normal Intermediate will be closed from Monday 15 February until Thursday 18 February as per the announcement tonight from the Prime Minister.

In Alert Level 3, parents are asked to keep their young person at home if they are able to. The only exception to this are students of essential workers who can attend if it is absolutely necessary. Should your child need to be supervised on site, they will need to register a place by emailing covid@ani.school.nz with their name and room number by 8am Monday 15 February. The supervision of these students will be from 10am to 2pm while we are in level 3 lockdown. A roll will be taken along with contact tracing daily

Only students who are registered will be permitted on site.

The distance learning programme for all students will commence tomorrow at 10am to allow teachers time to prepare. Distance learning programmes will be in the form of a task board that can be done electronically or by pen and paper. We will send the distance learning programme to registered email addresses we have on file for all our parents. In addition to this, it will be posted on our website on the home page. We are aware that a number of our students are not yet set up with online profiles which is why we are emailing work to parents instead.

To remind you:

All online work will be emailed to you in addition to being posted on the website.

All other communication and updates will be through School Apps and the school Facebook page.

Please stay safe and be kind to one another.
