New Principal

Message from the ANI Commissioner:

I am pleased to let you know that Jason Pocock will be our new permanent Principal at ANI.

After a thorough process involving long-listing, short-listing, reference checks, school visits, interviews, and deliberation, the Commissioner’s Advisory Group made a very clear recommendation. We are delighted that Jason has accepted our offer, and he will commence at the start of Term Four.

Jason is currently a Deputy Principal at a Year 7-13 school – Whangaparaoa College – where he has worked extensively with the Intermediate year levels. Apart from his excellent teaching, and leadership contributions; Jason has been very involved in the community with Surf Lifesaving where he has coached the New Zealand Black Fins team to three world championships.

Please find linked here a letter in which Jason introduces himself.

I want to take this opportunity to thank Shane Devery for his leadership during a very challenging period.

Nga mihi nui

Sincerely

James Thomas

ANI Commissioner
